Lewistown Fire Rescue

It’s been a busy week behind the scenes at PCF as we work tirelessly alongside ROFF Rescue to provide triage care and second chances to the cats/kittens impacted by the deadly arson fire on Bratton Avenue in Lewistown. Thanks to the dedicated teams at ROFF and PCF volunteer, Deanna, for securing and transporting. PCF has been able to provide much-needed veterinary care, food, and shelter to 15 of the 16 cats and kittens secured so far. Ten will be adoptable when they are old enough/healed, while the other five semi-feral cats are being treated for injuries, spayed/neutered, then relocated to live on farms.

It’s been an exhaustive effort on all sides responding to this tragedy, but we’re grateful to be a part of giving them a second chance to be loved and cared for after the loss of their mom and home. With 8 cats in PCF foster homes and 7 cats being cared for on site, we are in need of both monetary and supply donations. Supply donations can be shipped directly to the shelter or dropped off in/by the shed on the side of the building. Our most immediate needs are:

• Bleach
• Purina Cat Chow
• Wet cat food (any brand)
• Wet kitten food (any brand)
• Cat litter (clumping and non-clumping)

We ask that monetary donations be made by donating through the website. Please select “TNR Fund” from the “I Want to Support:” drop-down menu at the end of the form.
