Curious about what PCF has been up to?
In October, thanks to our fee-waived event sponsored by Subaru Loves Pets, we were able to adopt out an impressive 48 cats and kittens. Add that to 22 dog adoptions, and we managed to get 70 animals into new homes! There were so many great adoptions, but a particularly special one was Binx. He was a 9 year old cat, FIV+, and had been with us since April of 2024 – and after a year and a half he finally made it into his forever home!
We also had our Subaru raffle, and winner Erin Rubio got to take home a brand new 2025 Subaru Crosstrek. Congratulations to Erin! Keep an eye out for future raffles and maybe you can be our next lucky winner! And don’t forget to stop out at next year’s event, it’s always great fun.
Don’t forget our ongoing wine sale! We have a ton of delicious options from Seven Mountains Wine Cellars, so you’re sure to find a flavor you enjoy. Order before November 15th so that you can pick up in time for the holidays!
Coming up on December 2nd is Giving Tuesday. This year we have a great program to support, our TNR (trap, neuter, release) program! Thanks to a generous matching grant from the United Spay Alliance, we have the opportunity to get even more outside cats altered this year. Not only will we be asking for donations online, we will also be partnering with Tait Farm for a new promotion! Details are to come, so be sure to keep an eye on the page closer to December. And remember, this is a MATCHING grant! That means your donations will be doubled and go twice as far, so please be sure to help us keep this program alive. Every cat altered is preventing 2-3 litters per year from a single mama cat from being born.
We also have our annual Pet Pictures with Santa coming up on December 6th and 7th. Volunteer pet Santa Rod Smith does an amazing job with all sorts of animals – we’ve had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, and even a bird. Kids are also welcome! Be sure to mark your calendars and stop out for this awesome event. Entry is a monetary donation.
As always, thank you for your support. We couldn’t do what we do without you!
