Curious about what PCF has been up to?
This past June we adopted out 48 animals – an even split of 24 cats/kittens and 24 dogs/puppies! Some highlights include several semi-feral cats who had been here for nearly a year and are now happily working as barn cats, and two bonded senior male dogs whose foster decided that she couldn’t part with them. Before adoption we had to get medical care done for every animal, which at a minimum is: spay/neuter (or a voucher if too young to be fixed), vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchips, testing for key illnesses, microchipped, and preventatives.
In our most recent numbers from April (these are always a month or two behind as we compile the vouchers), our low cost spay/neuter voucher program helped 67 personal pets and 24 outside/feral cats get spayed and neutered. That’s a total of 91 cats and dogs no longer producing unwanted litters!
We’ve also started work on our annual Subaru Fundraiser, which will be held on October 15th. Stay tuned for a post announcing ticket sales for a chance to win either a new 2025 Subaru Crosstrek or $20,000! We’re still looking for sponsorships, if interested send an e-mail to info@petscomefirst.com for more information.
