Curious about what PCF has been up to?
This past July we had 44 adoptions: 28 dogs/puppies, 14 cats/kittens, 1 rabbit, and 1 guinea pig. One of our highlights was getting Abby, a 12 year old husky, a home. She was a humane case through the Centre County Humane officer back in January, used to living outside 24/7 – now she has a home to call her own. Another highlight was finally getting adoptions for our small critters, Aurora the guinea pig and Clarice the rabbit. We can often go months without any small critter adoptions so getting two out the door in one month was amazing! We have others available on our website if you or anyone you know is looking to adopt.
We also have been working hard on our booth for the Grange Fair which starts August 15th! We will be in the Emporium building selling Subaru tickets, animal socks, and our cat and dog raffle baskets. The raffle baskets will have plenty of goodies, including a Subaru ticket in each – normally a $25 value! Chances are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5. We will be there most days 1:00 to 7:30, so be sure to stop in and say hello!
Speaking of our Subaru fundraiser, tickets are now live! In a partnership with Stocker Subaru we are raffling off either a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek or $20,000 on October 15th. Tickets are 1 for $25 or 5 for $100. Be sure to get your tickets early, as only 3000 will be sold – great odds for you! Tickets are available to purchase on our website (https://petscomefirst.net/raffle/) or by going to the following locations during their business hours: Pets Come First in Centre Hall, Stocker Subaru and Wiscoy for Animals in State College, Maria’s Italian Restaurant in Bellefonte, and Lerch RV in Milroy.
