Barn Cats Needing Homes

Do you have a barn with a rodent problem? We have several “spicy” cats who would love to help you out! These cats are all up to date on their vet care (spay/neuter, vaccines, FIV/FeLV tested, microchipped) but would do better in an outdoor home with a job to do as they don’t enjoy having a lot of human contact.

We ask that your barn be ready to host a cat (safe and warm places to hide, water, food, etc.) and that you care for them as needed. They would also need time to acclimate to your barn and learn it is a safe space for them before releasing them to do their job. If you’ve never introduced a barn cat before, we would be happy to walk you through the process!

We do still require an approved application, which can be found on our Adopt page. We don’t require an adoption fee, although donations to help cover their vet care are appreciated.

If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 814-364-1725 or email us at info@petscomefirst.com with Barn Cats in the message title.
