Roxy

Adopted December 2025

 

“We adopted Roxy back in December, a 6 year old Amish breeder dog, who was very leery of human contact. She has come a long way, but still has some anxiety about being touched. She has been to the groomers several times and did very well, had 8 diseased teeth removed and handled like a trooper. She was unable to manage going down the steps from our deck to the yard, so we built her new ‘platform steps’ and she runs up and down easily now. She loves playing with her brother Ranger, walks nicely on a leash now, and the potty training was fairly easy. I hate that she lived 6 years as just a breeder and not as a loved pet, but we are fixing that, no matter how long it takes.”
