Volunteers Wanted!

 

With our continuing success of Pets Come First , we are always looking for dedicated people to volunteer. Below are specific duties that we need assistance with.  Please email info@petscomefirst.com or complete a Volunteer form if you are interested in getting involved.

 

Administration

• Processing adoption applications/checking references
• Scanning applications into system
• Assisting in updating animal health records
• Checking voicemails, call backs, provide information on spay/neutering assistance

 

General Cleaning

• Includes doing dishes, litter pans, laundry, mopping, etc.
• We need help all days, but specific needs on
  • Sunday Morning 9-12
  • Monday Morning 9-12
  • Friday Morning 9-12

 

Handy Person Duties

• Mowing/weed trimming, leaf removal
• General Furnace Maintenance–changing filters in furnaces and air vents
• Maintaining dog yards
• Organize Donation Shed and barn area
• Stall Cleaning
• Organize and clean crates
• Seasonal Decorating
• Snow Removal

 

Animal Transporting

• Allegheny S/N Clinic – Woodland or Centre Hall – Tuesday and Wednesday
• Central PA Humane Society Clinic in Altoona – Every other Friday
• Duncannon / Clark’s Ferry – Dog transport periodically on Tuesday
• Transporting to local groomers
