Curious about what PCF has been up to?

During the month of March we saw 49 animals find their forever homes – 30 dogs, 17 cats, and 2 guinea pigs. We were especially excited to see not one but two of our long term resident dogs finally get their forever homes. Sarge had been with us since January 2024 and Scrappy Doo had been with us since May 2024. It took a little while, but they finally found their perfect families.

In January and February we helped an impressive 241 animals get spayed/neutered through our voucher program. 119 cats and 67 dogs were altered through our main voucher program, and 55 outside/feral cats were altered through our TNR program. Thank you for spaying and neutering!

You might have seen the massive pug mix intake we did near the end of March as well. 30 dogs were left in a house after the owner had gone to jail, and they had been left to fend for themselves in a situation that was quickly spiraling out of control. Altogether we helped 20 of the dogs in that house – 10 remained here at PCF, and 10 were transported to CPHS in Altoona. The others were taken in by other rescues. Huge thanks to our very own Deb, Raven, and Randi for their efforts in getting everyone back to the shelter, cleaned up, and ready for the next stage of their new lives! Keep an eye on our page in the coming weeks, depending on vet availability we will be getting everyone fully vetted and ready for adoption as soon as possible.

And finally, we have started our Warm Paws, Save Lives capital campaign for building improvements. At last count we had $57k of our $75k goal – thank you so much for the generosity we have seen so far! We truly appreciate every donation, no matter the size.
